What are Shadow People? Friend Or Foe?
Who are they and what are they?
Shadow people sometimes also coined 'hat man' or the 'hooded one' are dark humanoids that look almost like shadows but tend to mainly look like black silhouette people, while sometimes they are only seen through peripheral vision sometimes they are seen head on in normal eyesight. These shadow people appear humanoid shaped just like us only that the mystery of the shadow men remains a big mystery, some of us have never seen them before and some of us have been fortunate (or unfortunate) to see them in various different places. There is usually reports that people who see them or are near them feel a sense of evil or dread however there also other people who felt protected by these things.
The famous 'Hat Man' is often recognized by people when looking out of the corner of their eyes although people have also seen the shadow people simply by looking straight forward and them being in view. These things or people are very rarely seen by the whole but there increased viewings tend to show that people really are seeing something and these beings will turn up every now and then in peoples lives. if you have ever seen a black figure or person walking around your house or around your garden or anywhere at night its most likely you saw a shadow person, most sightings tend to be at night although some are in dark places away from light.
It is difficult to say what shadow people really are, some believe them to be ghosts or spirits, some say they may be time travelers or hopping over from another dimension. They may even be aliens, they may be guardian angels, demons or perhaps they are just some sort of secret service that watches over us like a big brother from an over lapping dimension. It is anyone's guess why they are and what their job is. Most people tend to report them as watching people while they sleep or simply walking up and down hallways. Some of these shadow people even stand in the corner of the room or behind doors doing absolutely nothing but standing there, some looking at you and some not.
How to know if you have seen one?
Shadow people are classed as different from shadow beings as shadow beings are usually just shadows that randomly form on walls, but in this context shadow men are very humanoid like silhouettes and almost look like people who are jet black solid in most cases. They almost look like real people only that they are dark and black through and through.
The Hat Man usually looks familiar to that of a tall man who wears a trench coat or a suit, he is wears a 'fedora hat' hat hence being called Hat man. If you saw hat man you would think he was part of the Men in Black, an Undertaker, Grave Digger, Cowboy, Scarecrow or someone from the Matrix. If you saw him you would think he was dressed for a reason, whilst he looks smart and business like he doesn't actually give off an evil look from his appearance except for his eyes.
The Hooded One usually looks similar to the being we know as Grim Reapers however they are usually very much shorter than the hat man, these types of shadow people generally wear hoods or a sort of cape that cover their face and the rest of their figure. Unlike Hat Man the Hooded One has on some occasions been known to run around and quite quickly whereas the hat man always took the standing still approach. The Hooded One doesn't have any other outward features except for the long sleeves which is part of his hood but is thought that these hooded shadow people appear more evil in appearance than the hat man.
Sometimes people have reported shadow people to have red eyes which are almost pin shaped, the rest of the body is black and they are rarely speak or say anything. in fact it is said that majority of people describe shadow people as quiet but have noticed them appear in their dreams and talk to them. They also tend to appear more after waking up or being in a very dark room with many shadows, is it possible they need a certain amount of shadows and darkness to manifest? Very possible.

My Experience
I had an experience a long where i remember a lot of weird stuff happening over the space of a week but one night in particular where i saw a shadow person (or hat man to be exact). At the time I remember recalling some nights where i would hear weird noises in my open wardrobe like things falling or noises of rustling as there are many things stacked like boxes in my room and some at the bottom part of the wardrobe.
There has also been cases in my place of lights switching on/off on their own sometimes or even the kettle turning on but whether this is the same as what i saw is not known. I do recall days where i woke up to something touching my face or even slightly whispering in my ear. OF course any of this could be the figment of the imagination or a dream but the night i saw this shadow fella i knew that i had to look up online if anyone else had seen this being and it seems i was right, this being has been seen by numerous people, do i still believe its hallucination, nope not at all, there is just too many cases of shadow persons to blame it on hallucination in my opinion.
Apart from all the weird noises in my room the night i witnessed the shadow man was one evening when i went to bed at 6pm and woke up at around 3am, i was for a bout a few minutes but trying to get back to sleep then i remember something flying into my face, at this point i was definitely awake but just closing my eyes. When I opened my eyes i saw a black orb with orange light that came off it, anyone could say i really was tripping but whatever this thing had flown at my face as to get my attention or something. It then flew off really quickly when i noticed it, this ball of energy (as i would put it) was a little smaller than a tennis ball.
It was only when it flew away that i noticed a dark or black figure to the right end of my bed, at first i just imagined it was something like a cloak i had hung up on my exercise bike since it has bars on it to hang things over. Only that when i took my eyes off it for a minute sitting in bed with a little fear i got this feeling that after witnessing what i had seen with the orb and the freaky figure it was best to get out of bed. When i decided to move i looked back to my right and that figure had completely disappeared, it was only then that i realized the shape and outline of that black figure was not some clothes huddled together hung up but a dark person or being that had been standing there, i don't believe this figure was watching me in particularly but he must have at some point.
The fact this shadow man (as they call it) had been standing their whole time and me playing it off as some clothes hung over something really freaked me out, the thing was there one minute then disappeared, it had just vanished without making any noise or walking out of the door. I then got up out of bed feeling freaked out for the rest of the night and sat down in the lounge of my apartment not wanting to go back to bed until it was light outside again.
Now what i do remember was this figure wearing a hat, it looked like an old fashioned fedora hat, i remember just being able to make out the top of its head and the fact that it was a tall male that looked to be wearing what i would describe as some kind of undertaker cloak. But i still can't believe i missed confronting the being but then again perhaps it would have been too scary, in a survival situation like that if i'd have noticed i'd probably have questioned what it was doing standing there. This was my first time seeing a shadow man (hat man).
For a dark spirit he sure was dressed well but i never knew the shadows person's intentions, whether they were good or evil but i do know that the black orb i saw that night perhaps had something to do with that shadow being. To end this what weirded me out the most was that during this time i was doing volunteering work at church for 2 months and that is exactly when the being appeared most, whilst i'm not religious i do think the two could be related, perhaps this being was evil? Perhaps this being was simply a guardian who watches over you to make sure you ok? Perhaps its neither, perhaps it's a time traveler or even some kind of alien.
Whatever these things are they must be from another dimension. I have not seen it since that time but i remember the feeling of being haunted for a certain period of time. I even kept my lamp light on most nights, it only appeared that night when i had the lights turned off for a change. I'm skeptic that it was a 'friendly' being. But i'm also trying to understand why the orb was flying at me.
